Welcome to the home of the blogs where you can find all of my musings and ramblings.
This is where I talk about anything and everything that has even the slightest thing to do with mental health and wellbeing, as well as pouring out my soul for all to see, which is frankly, quite terrifying. BUT if I want to spread the word and raise awareness of mental health issues then it only makes sense that I ‘walk the walk’ as they say.
If you find something that interests you then do leave a comment on any of the blogs or get in touch. Or if there’s a subject I haven’t covered that you’d like to know more about then let me know and I’ll do my very best.
You can also follow my Facebook page where I offer loads of tips and thoughts on how best to protect your own mental health.
When it comes to first aid, we all know where to go for a plaster or a painkiller. But what about your mental health? What do you do when you need something to help that?
Stress. It’s a familiar feeling and something that every single person has experienced at some point. But what happens when it all gets too much?
Knowing you need help and asking for are some of the hardest things you can do. But when you do, it really does make a world of difference.
Joy. A complex emotion that’s harder to find and even harder to keep but honestly, it’s worth the fight. I’ve finally found joy in my work and I love it! What’s even better is finding people who have the same passion.
Warning! There is strong language in this post (depression is a bit pants so I feel it’s warranted on this occasion), so if you don’t want to see it stop now.
If you’re cool with that however, read on.
Survival. A primal instinct that allows parents to lift cars off their children and others to put one foot in front of the other when they’ve been beaten down. It’s what makes you nauseous and your heart start to race when you’re anxious.
It’s what keeps you alive.
Pain is a familiar feeling yet completely unique to us all. We all feel it differently, we all survive it differently, we all handle it differently but in the end, we all hate it equally. Funny that.
Netflix and Chill. The phrase means many things to different people and has certain, associations, that some of us may not have thought about. Me, I mean me.
Myalgic Encephalomyelitis. Two big words that are the bane of my life. Alas, I can’t get rid of them so you might as well know what it’s all about. Read on for all the ins and out of dealing with M.E.
Aah 2020. The year that brought us Covid-19. The pandemic that has brought us both simple joys and crushing devastation. Not really in equal amounts because there has been much more devastation than joy, but we have to try and find the bright sides or what was it for?
Social distancing is the popular phrase of 2020 (unfortunately), but what does it actually mean? In what way has it affected your life? Read on for my take on the subject!
I possibly shouldn’t be giving people a ‘how to’ guide to blogging as it may put me out of business if everyone starts doing their own, BUT, I am a generous, kindly soul and only want to help. So take what you will from it and if you’re still struggling, let me know!
